These are working notes from installing, commissioning and servicing hyperbaric chambers — the things we end up explaining on the phone often enough that they are worth writing down. One idea per note. Every factual claim links to the manufacturer document, standard or federal record it came from, and where a figure is not published we say so.

The compressor is louder than you expected
Almost nobody returns a chamber over noise, and almost everybody moves the compressor within the first month, so decide where it lives before delivery rather than after.

What a 20-amp circuit actually buys you
A 20-amp circuit is not twenty amps of working room, and the one number you need to size it — the compressor's nameplate current — is the number manufacturers are least likely to publish.

The doorway number nobody measures
Measure the clear opening with the door standing open, not the width of the door leaf — on a rigid chamber the difference between those two numbers is the difference between a delivery and a rigging bill.
